Mens Mag Daily caught up with the sexy Ashley Sinclair to discuss her life as a webcam girl, how she got started in the business, and what it’s like running her own site.
Mens Mag Daily: Okay, Ashley I was reading your bio and you actually started off as a regular model, right?
Ashley Sinclair: I did, my start in the adult industry was webcam modeling. I did that for close to a year before I did anything else. I would just do it from my bedroom at night or whatever. After that I did some photography modeling. But yeah, I webcammed before I shot any videos or anything like that.
Mens Mag Daily: You’re extremely popular in the webcam world.
Ashley Sinclair: I’ve done really well with the webcamming. I’ve been doing it for about 5 years now. I’ve definitely been very successful.
Mens Mag Daily: I always found camming interesting. It’s kind of like stripping but you’re doing everything from the comfort of your own home.
Ashley Sinclair: Yeah, I mean I never stripped in a club or anything but I would definitely prefer webcamming. I don’t have to leave my house, I can make my own hours, and if I’m bored during the day I can just hop on. It works with my schedule and I still do it.
Mens Mag Daily: When you’re camming, do you see a lot of the same people? Do you have regulars?
Ashley Sinclair: Yeah, I definitely have regulars. I’ve been doing it for 5 years now and I have people that were there from my first show. They followed me to different sites and everything. Of course though, you do have a lot of people that just pop in once in a while when they’re bored.
Mens Mag Daily: Okay, so let’s say you have a regular who’s been watching every show you’ve done since you started. That’s a long time. I know you’re working but does any type of bond form there?
Ashley Sinclair: Sometimes, I mean you get to become friends because you’re learning things about each other. If you just see somebody once a month or something then not so much but if somebody is a regular and has been following you for years then you definitely can form a friendship. It’s never gone past that but I’ve met some awesome guys. I’ll show them a little bit more attention that the other people. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: So what made you get into it in the first place?
Ashley Sinclair: Right before I started doing webcam I had taken some naughty pictures with this guy who was kind of like my boyfriend. We took some naughty outdoor pictures and we entered them in a contest online. I figured people would like it or whatever but I didn’t expect to win and I didn’t expect to get the positive reaction that I got. I won the contest and won some money and I thought it was so cool. Every time I checked there was so much positive feedback and somebody told me about webcamming. I felt like being a little adventurous and I needed some money so I gave it a shot. I love it from the first time I did it. It’s always something that I enjoyed doing.
Mens Mag Daily: What is the absolute biggest tip you ever got?
Ashley Sinclair: Just like a straight up tip on a webcam site, I would say a few hundred but I’ve had people buy me things that are worth way more than that. They’ve bought me some pretty big items. Recently, somebody bought me a Bose home entertainment system. Somebody bought me a television and actually my bedroom set as well.
Mens Mag Daily: What about the fetish stuff? You do that as well.
Ashley Sinclair: I did fetish before I did porn. At the time I was doing some bikini modeling and some light nudity and somebody convinced me to give the fetish stuff a try. I scheduled a shoot and at first it was just silly stuff. I think I did a balloon shoot and some foot fetish stuff. It was fun and I decided to do it for a while. I started shooting more and since then I started my own website so I rarely shoot any fetish stuff for anybody but my own site. I do all the custom videos and stuff. I shoot and produce my own stuff. People will ask me to do a specific type of video for them. They tell me what their fetish is and I’ll shoot exactly what they want. Some people just tell me their fetish and let me kind of do my thing but there are people who want me to say things a certain way, wear certain clothes, and they want really specific stuff. Some will even give me a script.
Mens Mag Daily: What’s the strangest request you’ve ever gotten?
Ashley Sinclair: I’ve gotten plenty of those but one of the strangest to people who aren’t into is probably vore which is where a guy is into watching a girl chew and that’s probably the strangest, one of them. It’s not the most common thing. One time I had a guy pay me to make a video of me eating a pizza. I like pizza so I was cool with it. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: And when did you get into actual porn?
Ashley Sinclair: I got into it about four years ago but I only shot about 5 scenes and then I decided to stick with the fetish stuff. I was doing really well making my own videos and stuff but I was thinking about getting back into it and in the past few months I’ve started shooting again.
Mens Mag Daily: What made you leave the first time?
Ashley Sinclair: I didn’t necessarily leave. It just kind of happened because I was doing well with my own stuff. I liked making people’s fantasies come true and there was no travelling involved, I was doing it from my own home. It just kind of happened that way and I’ve just decided that I’m ready to do more and expand my fan base. A lot of guys have been asking me to go back so I thought it would be a good idea. It’s looking like it’s going to get me some great exposure. I think I have one scene coming out this week and I shot four scenes last weekend so I think I’ll be able to get some new fans.
Mens Mag Daily: How did it feel to be back shooting for a studio?
Ashley Sinclair: I was really excited. I got along with everybody. The first time I was really nervous but now since I’ve been around it was more exciting than anything. Being in front of the camera excites me. I love shooting all types of scenes so far. I did my first girl/girl scene just recently and I liked it more than I thought I would. I might even dare to say that I like girl/girl more but I love both. They’re both fun.
