Kiara Mia’s story is different from most porn stars. She didn’t head out to L.A. when she was 18 and unwittingly end up in some casting director’s office. Kiara spent the better part of her life pursuing a mainstream acting career landing roles in commercials and movies like Harsh Times alongside Christian Bale. When her star didn’t shine as bright as she expected on the mainstream side of Hollywood, at the age of 32, an age when many girls have done 400 movies and been retired for a few years, she entered the porn industry. But not much is average about this stunning Mexican beauty as she practically became an overnight sensation and one of the most popular porn stars around. Whether it’s her beautiful smile or her otherworldly body, Kiara Mia is doing something right and it looks as if she’s only going to keep getting bigger. MMD sat down with Kiara Mia to discuss her upcoming porn parody of the Kardashians, Keeping Up With Kiara Mia, her unbelievable experience with the lovely Sinn Sage, and what type of guy she likes (you might be surprised). Despite this being my first time speaking to Kiara I found it fitting to propose marriage. Keep reading to find out what she said.

MMD: Kiara, one of the things I noticed when I was researching you is that there’s not a lot about you on the internet, it’s just little tidbits. I want to try and piece that all together. So you’re from California, born and raised?

Kiara Mia: Correct.

MMD: And you’re of Mexican descent, correct?

Kiara Mia: Yes and Native American Apache.

MMD: What was life like for Kiara Mia growing up?

Kiara Mia: I grew up in a strict Latino home. I grew up in an alcoholic home. My dad was an abusive alcoholic. My mom was an enabler and she never left my dad. She was of the belief that no matter what a man does you don’t leave. I was the only child for 10 years. Childhood was basically full of fear and anxiety. I was always scared about when my dad was going to come home and beat my mom. I never thought about playing or friends. It was just always this fear about wondering if my dad was going to come home drunk that night. My brother was born when I was eleven years old and I’m not sure what that triggered but my dad never hit my mom again. I would say my childhood started when my brother was born. He was the angel and the prayer I had been praying for since I was a little girl. My parents were born again Christian so I grew up in like a really spiritual house but it wasn’t so much religious as we were Christian. My dad was an amazing, amazing man when he was sober. He was a total Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. They’re both very caring, loving, nurturing, and would give you the shirt off their back. That was amazing. They were very loving parents and I’m grateful for that so yeah that was my childhood up to that point.

MMD: When you were growing up, your dream was to be a mainstream actress, right?

Kiara Mia: Absolutely, yes. I always said when I was a little girl that I wanted to be an actress or a model. I wanted people to look at me and to watch me.

MMD: What was that period of your life like when you were trying to become a mainstream actress?

Kiara Mia: When I was fourteen years old my mom put me in acting classes so I took classes from when I was 14 until I was probably 30 years old. I was lucky enough to find an agent and a manager. I had a commercial agent and then I had a theatrical agent. I loved acting class and I loved acting. I loved the creativity. I loved the training and playing make believe. It was everything I love. I actually enjoyed it and I went on a thousand auditions, and auditions, and auditions. When I was like 24 or 25 is when I started to get more womanly and curvy and I started getting a lot more bookings. Before that I hadn’t done much but then my looks came in and I got curvy and I just started booking things. I would meet a director or a producer and they would start putting me in things. I booked my first blockbuster movie which was called harsh times with Eva Longoria and Christian Bale. David Ayer, who was one of the writers of Training day, his dream was to be a director. He contacted my manager who really only represented ethnic people, people who looked Latino and told him he was putting together a movie and he didn’t have a big budget, he was using his own money but really wanted to get everybody together. He said that if he could help him fulfill his dream as a Latino director he would use us and then if the big studios loved it and money came he said he would use us again. I got to walk the red carpet with Eva Longoria and I had been in acting classes for my whole life so it was a monumental moment for both of us. After that I kept going but when I was 31 I realized I hadn’t done anything big. I was still struggling financially. Then I got a call from David saying he was doing a movie and he wrote a part just for me. It was a movie with Forest Whittaker and I was really excited. I got a call that same day from the casting agent and he said he had been trying to call my manager for months and I had no knowledge of that. I confronted my manager and he said that he told them he wanted a contract first and that A, B, and C had to be fulfilled and I didn’t really care. I just wanted to be in it. I was going to do it anyway so I went back and I went to my trailer and I got fitted. The next morning right before I was going to leave the house I got a phone call saying they no longer needed me and they were going to go in a different direction. It broke my heart. I got so frustrated and I was just fed up. I needed a break so I took a break from acting school and auditions. I wanted to start making money and I had a few friends who had gotten into porn at about 21 and they had their own homes and were traveling the world. They had new Benzes and huge names. In the 1980’s and 90’s it was taboo for a mainstream actress to do porn. They just wouldn’t take you serious. That’s why I stayed away so long because that’s where my heart was. At that point I was 31 or 32 and I decided I wanted to make money, brand myself, put up a website. I figured I would make a lot of money, do it for four or five years, get in and get out. That’s how my whole acting thing worked out.

MMD: When you made the decision to go into porn was it a tough decision? Did you think about the repercussions and what your parents would think?

Kiara Mia: Yes, definitely. I was actually in a relationship at the time. I’ve never really been a conservative person. I’ve always had an amazing heart and an amazing soul. I’m a giver. I’d never really been that conservative Christian girl. Getting into the porn industry was basically about me. I wanted to make a million dollars in three years. At the time Myspace was the thing and I had like 50,000 friends on there so I just started thinking that if each of those people had to pay a dollar to see my pictures then I would make money. I started off doing topless pictures and then I had a friend in porn who said I could make bank doing solo stuff and webcam so I started doing that. At that point I started hanging out with everybody and I got to know everybody and then I started doing girl-girl. I didn’t disclose it to people when I first started doing it but I wasn’t concerned with what people were going to think or what my parents were going to think. I don’t live my life for other people; I never have so I wasn’t scared at any point. I knew what I wanted and I had a plan. I knew that I’d only shoot for certain people and I’d keep my rates high. I wanted to come in and be a star. I didn’t want to be the girl that just comes in and shoots with everybody and screws every director. I wanted a top notch reputation. I wanted to be a star and have longevity. One of my main concerns was the website and how many memberships I could get so when I did quit I could live off that money while I go back to school for whatever dream job I want to attempt. I could have that money coming in but I could still do what I really want to do.

MMD: A lot of girls are getting into the porn industry at 18 and 19 years old. Was it difficult for you entering in your thirties?

Kiara Mia: No not at all. I think the timing was perfect because I think this year I’m 13 years sober off drugs. I was a hardcore drug addict in my twenties but coming in in my thirties I had a plan. I knew what I wanted and I knew what I was going to demand. I wouldn’t settle for less. If I would have went in at 18 it would have chewed me up and spit me out. I was so naïve at 18. I was like the most naïve person ever. I would have gotten walked all over, maybe even overdosed on drugs. I would not have done well at 18.

MMD: Getting into the business in your 30’s do you end up getting a lot of the MILF roles?

Kiara Mia: Oh yes definitely but those aren’t the only roles I get. I get big booty, big tits. But I’m totally fine with that. I own that. It’s my niche. I accept that and I own it. I love it and I flaunt it. I’m all about it. It doesn’t bother me at all.

MMD: I’ve always been curious about this. Why do a lot of girls who are starting out in the business do girl-girl scenes only?

Kiara Mia: That’s a good question. I don’t know why other girls do it.  I know for myself it was because I was in a relationship at that time. The person I was with would have had an issue if I did straight boy-girl. I figured, you know, maybe after a year, I could wean them into it and they could see how it works and a lot of people in the industry have relationships and it’s not really an issue. That was my game plan but we ended up breaking up a year later.

MMD: Were you a very sexual person before getting into the industry?

Kiara Mia: Always, since I was young. I’ve always been a very sexual, sensual person.

MMD: And in your personal life you were into both girls and guys?

Kiara Mia: Yes, at 20 years old I was with another woman for the first time. I fell in love with it. I’ve been in love with them forever.

MMD: Have you ever been in an actual relationship with a girl?

Kiara Mia: I’ve been dating guys for two years but before that I had only been dating women for seven years. I was in a five year relationship with a woman.

MMD: Now we’re going to move on to some less serious questions. My favorite scenes of you doing girl-girl were with Kristina Rose and another with Raylene. Do you have any favorites in terms of women you like working with?

Kiara Mia: Yes, I love it. (Laughs) Awwww, I love both of them. It’s been so long since I’ve done girl-girl. There’s this girl and I forget her name. What is it? Anyway there’s this girl, she only does girl-girl, she doesn’t do boy-girl. She almost looks lesbian but she’s not a lesbian. She wasn’t like conventionally sexy but once the scene started she was sexy as fuck. She fucked the shit out of me. I was just squirting and squirting. I really was in a euphoric state with this girl. I almost felt like I was making love. It was so intense. We were genuinely into each other. Like Kristina Rose isn’t genuinely gay, you know? The scene was great because she’s a great performer, she’s a fuckin’ freak. Raylene is a friend of mine but she’s attracted to women who are much older so we’ve never been attracted to each other but we always do great scenes together because we have great chemistry.

MMD: Was the girl you can’t remember Sinn Sage?

Kiara Mia: Yes, Sinn Sage! It was a lesbian movie, that’s the only one I’ve ever done.

MMD: She’s really hot in a unique way.

Kiara Mia: Her sex appeal is like off the charts. Raylene told me that Sinn was going to fuck the shit out of me and I was like whatever because I’m kind of cocky about sex. (Laughs) I saw her picture and I didn’t even think she was hot but then in person she’s just mysterious and she like looks you up and down and I was just like, “whoa”.

MMD: So there are actually scenes where you do enjoy yourself?

Kiara Mia: Yes, quite a few times, if I’m attracted to the person.

MMD: Is it hard doing a scene with a person you’re not attracted to?

Kiara Mia: Yes, very. (Laughs)

MMD: So how do you get through that?

Kiara Mia: Yeah, I just kind of keep my eyes closed. (Laughs)

MMD: Does the on-screen sex affect the sex in your personal life?

Kiara Mia: You know what? That’s a very good question and yes it does. Personally, for me, and I found this when I was escorting, which was even before I started doing porn that I can become very programmed and mechanical and I’ve kind of learned to turn off my feelings. Being present can be a problem for me in a private sexual relationship and I’ve heard that several times from lovers.

MMD: Was escorting difficult for you?

Kiara Mia: No not at all I think it’s easier than doing porn.

MMD: Was there ever a time you enjoyed yourself sexually during escorting?

Kiara Mia: Oh, numerous times. (Laughs)

MMD: You haven’t been in the industry very long but you have tons of fans and have built quite a name for yourself. How do you think that was possible?

Kiara Mia: It’s because I had a game plan. With anything in life if you set a goal and steps towards that goal you’re going to get it. Most people don’t come into the porn industry with a goal or a master plan. People just take things as they come day by day without any real goals in this business a lot. I knew when I came in that I wanted to be a star and not just a girl that did porn. I talked to a lot of people before I came in of course and they all said to be exclusive. You don’t want to be the girl who shoots with everybody. I think I have maybe 35 movies to my name in four years and that’s not a lot. One of my good friends has done like over 400 movies. Her website never gets members and I tell her it’s because she shoots so much damn shit. People could get it on the internet for free. I came in and I came in on my terms. And it gotten to the point where directors are all like, “who’s going to get her”? I just don’t shoot with everybody. I’m a good looking girl and I have that star quality. I know the angles. I know how to work the camera and I know how to act, you know what I mean? I’ve been doing this for so long.

MMD: You have a parody movie in the works about the Kardashians. Was that your idea?

Kiara Mia: Yeah, that was my idea. Every year I write a vision board and it’s basically everything I want to do in that year. I was thinking of things I wanted to accomplish and I started thinking about producing and directing. I thought if I had that experience it might also lead to work in the mainstream. I figured could start with short films but if I was going to start in porn I wanted it to be a feature film with an actual storyline and everything. I decided I wanted to start my own production company and finance it myself and I started thinking to myself, “what makes money”? DVD’s don’t sell anymore in the porn industry but porn parodies are the only thing still making money. There had been something done with the Kardashians years ago but they’re huge now and have like the number one reality show so that’s how I decided I wanted to a porn parody of them. It hasn’t been released yet because the time isn’t right. This was more than about porn for me. I wanted it to be funny, classy, and entertaining. This is the type of movie that you’re actually going to want to watch and as an added bonus you get to see two people have sex. I decided to hire somebody mainstream to do the editing and he had my hard drive and kept putting it off for weeks and so I just took it back from him. And that was holding me back because they were talking about it on TMZ for like six weeks so I hired another person. And he did the same thing so I took it back. Then I approached the guys who do my website and I asked them if they could guarantee it would be done in six weeks and I should have gone with him in the first place but I wanted somebody mainstream with a big name. But it’s actually getting done now and he keeps sending me little clips and it looks good so I’m getting really excited. We’re hoping it will be released in three weeks.

MMD: Did you like directing and is it something you want to continue to do?

Kiara Mia: I loved it. I definitely want to continue. I definitely have an eye for things. I’ll be on a set with a friend in the mainstream who shoots music videos and I’ll catch things that he’ll miss. It’s just having that artistic eye. I think I’ve been blessed creativity wise with a gift.

MMD: Do you think that at any point the success you’ve had in porn can translate to some mainstream success?

Kiara Mia: Oh, I promise you I will.

MMD: Okay, so a couple of porn questions now. What is your favorite scene that you’ve ever done?

Kiara Mia: My favorite scene was with Manuel Ferrara. We did an oil scene and we just had to squirt oil all over each other. That was fun.

MMD: What is the worst porn experience you’ve ever had?

Kiara Mia: I haven’t had a worst but I have an embarrassing one.

MMD: That works.

Kiara Mia: I was hired to do a three way girl-girl scene and when porn actresses are on their period we take make up sponges and we wet them a little bit and then just stick them really deep inside of us. Nothing will come out and it’s not noticeable so you can still have sex. It was the end of the night and everybody was drinking and the director wanted us to squirt water from our vaginas so we had our legs up in the air and the first girl goes and then the second and it was my turn. What they did was they had a big piece of glass and the cameraman was behind it so it would look like the water was hitting the camera so there I was with my legs up in the air and I’m pushing and pushing and water and all these random objects come flying out. (Laughs) Everybody’s eyes went big and their jaws dropped and then they were just bent over laughing their asses off at my make-up sponges. (Laughs) They shot far too.

MMD: Tell me about your fans. What are they like?

Kiara Mia: My fans love me. I have very amazing, loving fans.

MMD: Do they send you stuff all the time?

Kiara Mia: They always send me stuff from my Amazon wish list. They really love me.

MMD: Have you ever had any weird fans try to contact you or anything?

Kiara Mia: No, luckily I haven’t.

MMD: Do fans ever hit on you in the street?

Kiara Mia: Yeah if I’m not with a guy definitely. They’ll approach me and say hi or ask if they can take a picture with me. But if I’m with a guy they won’t.

MMD: If a regular guy wants to approach you on the street, does he have a shot?

Kiara Mia: Yeah, of course, if I’m attracted to him then definitely.

MMD: What would you say is your type?

Kiara Mia: I don’t have a type. My ex-boyfriends are all so different. I feel like I like older men who are intelligent, sophisticated, classy, and old-fashioned. There are no games and they can hold a conversation. It’s an amazing thing. But I’ll see a bald headed tattooed guy walk by and think he’s hot so it’s really just things I like but I wouldn’t say I have a type. I will always end up with somebody who is very straightforward and Alpha. I’m a very Alpha female so I need that.

MMD: The fans want to know Kiara. Since you’re a porn star do you have to date a guy with a foot long wang?

Kiara Mia: No, not at all, hell no.

MMD: So it’s okay if he’s average?

Kiara Mia: I’ve dated guys with small penises. It’s all about heart and soul.

MMD: My fans are going to be very excited. You’re going to have a stampede of small penised guys chasing after you.

Kiara Mia: (Laughs) Bring it on!

MMD: Now a couple of standard and corny questions. Do you have a favorite position?

Kiara Mia: A favorite position? I would have to say doggie.

MMD: Kiara, I actually have a favorite picture of you and I’m not sure if you’re going to remember the picture but it’s you in a blue dress and heels.

Kiara Mia: And this was just a random pic?

MMD: Yeah and I’m pretty sure there’s a guy behind you clearly staring at your ass.

Kiara Mia: (Laughs) I’m pretty sure that was in Miami. I was near some elevators.

MMD: I don’t blame him though, you look sick hot. All joking aside you’re a very beautiful woman. Do you think you’re one of the prettiest girls in the industry?

Kiara Mia: Umm, yes.

MMD: I would say you are.

Kiara Mia: Yes, I agree.

MMD: And you’re always in heels which I love by the way.

Kiara Mia: Yeah, I absolutely love heels.

MMD: This might sound rude, and I’m a gentleman, but do you actually enjoy performing oral on a man?

Kiara Mia: I love it. I love pleasing. I love the power I have over a man because I’m making him feel so good. I love that power.

MMD: Next question, will you marry me?

Kiara Mia: Yes! (Laughs)

MMD: And just so you know when I come to L.A. I’m fully expecting you to be my tour guide.

Kiara Mia: I would love to. When you’re in town I would love to take you around.

MMD: Alright Kiara, let’s wrap it up by telling everybody every single thing that you have going on, where they can find you on the internet and all that good stuff.

Kiara Mia: Of course, Keeping Up With Kiara Mia is number one which is the porn parody of the Kardashians. I really want to get some feedback from them on it. Oh, I’m starting anal. It will be my first one. I signed with Brazzers and I’ll do my first three anal scenes with them. Everyone is really excited about that. We’re currently writing Keeping Up With Kiara Mia Part 2.

MMD: Not to get off subject when you’re talking about anal but I’m a guy and I saw you posted a pic of your sick new Benz AMG on your Twitter.

Kiara Mia: Oh, yes my new car! I love it. It’s gorgeous. I love Mercedes. It’s the perfect car because L.A. is full of traffic. I’ve always had stick shift cars and it’s a bitch when you’re in traffic. I wanted like just a luxurious car. I wanted something beautiful and that I could be comfortable in traffic in so I went with the Mercedes.

MMD: You must look very sexy in it.

Kiara Mia: Thank you. (Laughs)

MMD: And Kiara don’t forget to tell the fans where they can find you on the internet.

Kiara Mia: I have Kiaramia.com which is my own personal website. I have about 50 scenes there, more than you will find anywhere else. I have personal pictures and personal videos on there. My twitter is twitter.com\mysexykiaramia. Those are my two main places on the internet.
