SHEENA RYDER: MMD INTERVIEWS THE SULTRY, SEXY, SEDUCTIVE SHEENA

MMD July 9, 2014 0

Former soldier and medic, horrible motorcycle accident survivor, future doctor, porn star, you’ve got to give it to Sheena Ryder, her resume is anything but boring. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, you never know what you’re going to find out when talking to a pornstar. Sheena has done a lot and now in her fourth year in the industry she’s more popular than ever. The SoCal native is not only a hottie but has a good head on her shoulders as well. She also has one of the most underrated butts in the business. I mean seriously we should all build a shrine to that thing. Mens Mag Daily was able to sit down with Sheena to discuss her military career, how she got into the adult industry, and her plans to attend medical school.

Mens Mag Daily: For those who aren’t very familiar with your career can you tell us how you got into the adult industry?

Sheena Ryder: I grew up in Southern California so being in the area and being a part of the swinger lifestyle I was exposed to a lot of people who were in the porn industry. There were a lot of people like Marcus London who strongly encouraged me to get into the business. It took a couple of years because I was in the military so I actually couldn’t. I eventually did it in 2010 so I’m having my 4 year anniversary.

Mens Mag Daily: Don’t you need to be married to be a swinger?

Sheena Ryder: You don’t, I was what is called a unicorn within that lifestyle and that’s basically a single girl who plays with couples who are looking to dabble. I was engaged at the time and my fiancé and I would always go out to the bars and pick up the 18-21 year olds. We used to call ourselves corruption incorporated. (Laughs) It got boring because these girls didn’t know what they were doing. I can’t tell you how many times I had to teach a girl how to give a blowjob. It stopped being for me because I became the teacher and my fiancé at the time was just laying back and enjoying it.

Mens Mag Daily: You were in the military? Tell us about that.

Sheena Ryder: I was a medic in the military and I have so much medical training. I’m actually getting ready to go back to school to become a doctor. Why would I want to stop at being a nurse when I could be a doctor? I want to be a burn ward surgeon. My friends all think that’s great because then I could do plastic surgery for them when they get old. (Laughs)

Mens Mag Daily: What made you take the military route?

Sheena Ryder: I wanted to get medical training and other members of my family had actually done the same thing. I also wanted a challenge and I figured I would get that in the military.

sr9

Mens Mag Daily: So you’ve always been interested in medicine?

Sheena Ryder: Absolutely, when I was 15 I started doing filing in my family doctor’s office and that’s what kind of sparked the idea that I wanted to be in the medical field. I wanted to be a veterinarian at first but I just couldn’t do it. I’ve found that I have no problems seeing dead human bodies but I cannot see a dead animal. I would be bawling.

Mens Mag Daily: How old will you be by the time you actually get to practice medicine?

Sheena Ryder: I’m 30 now and most of the doctors that I’ve worked with in the past have started medical school at about 35. I do think about it though because I’m going to be in school for a long fucking time. I didn’t care for high school very much. I didn’t attend and I got my GED. I’m not really about the books; I’m more of a doer. Put me in front of whatever it is that I need to do and I’ll do it. I even watch my scenes from when I first started and I have gotten so much better.

Mens Mag Daily: I read that a couple of years ago you were in a very serious motorcycle accident. Can you tell us about that?

Sheena Ryder: Yes I was, the driver didn’t make it but after flying 40 or 50 feet in the air I survived. I was conscious through all of it so as I was flying across the highway I was just hoping that I didn’t die. The ambulance came and they told me I was going to lose my leg which they aren’t supposed to do. I could still wiggle my toes and my central nervous system was still functioning. My ankle was dislocated to the point that it was going in the completely wrong direction. I could see my tendon and the fatty tissue. I was dragging my body off the middle of the highway and I just propped myself up against the guardrail. I heard my girlfriend screaming a few yards ahead because there was another motorcycle involved. A friend of ours who had gotten caught at the light caught up to us and he was just bawling because he saw the body. I was in South Carolina and I wanted to be at the best hospital in the state. I fired my orthopedic surgeon; I was just constantly bumping heads with my doctors. The doctors were surprised at the level of knowledge that I had. When I was in the hospital it was my fans on Twitter that kept me going. It kept me sane through the whole process. I had lost so much weight and the hardest part was when I checked myself out of the hospital which was 4 days before the 2013 AVN awards. I walked the red carpet with a walker because I was learning to walk all over again. It was hard because I didn’t have the convenience of having three meals a day delivered to me. There was no nurse that could run and help me. I no longer had that. I actually thought I looked like a monster because of how my leg was. It affected my confidence. But I’m back now. I have a skin graft on my leg but I’m definitely back.

Mens Mag Daily: Do you still ride?

Sheena Ryder: Yes, I’ve gotten back on a bike and I bought all new gear, boots, and helmet, all of it. The first time I got back on was as a passenger and we kind of hit a curve. I had a flashback and I freaked out. I had to get off and compose myself but that was a year ago.

Mens Mag Daily: How did it feel coming back to the industry?

Sheena Ryder: I had been shooting for my website. I was doing everything quietly. I was able to hide my leg with thigh high boots or stockings. By December I was back working for other companies. I’ve been working with Jules Jordan a lot. The next movie is called Jerkoff Material 11 I believe. We’re really saturated with a lot of talent right now, not necessarily talented talent but talent nonetheless. There’s less companies producing material because of the condom law and all these obstacles against the adult industry. I’m going back to school though. You definitely need a backup for this. A lot of companies are trying to get me to cross over to the MILF category but I’m rebelling.

Mens Mag Daily: You definitely seem to enjoy the industry.

Sheena Ryder: I mean it’s always great to have interesting sex. I didn’t lose my virginity until I was 17 but when I did I was a total nympho. If I went more than two weeks without sex I would start going crazy and just looking for anybody with a dick. My standards got lower the longer I went without sex. (Laughs)

sr3

Mens Mag Daily: Okay Sheena so tell us about your website and other projects you may have coming up.

Sheena Ryder: Well my website is www.sheenaryderxxx.com. It has more than just solo and girl/girl scenes that most people are used to. I have IR, anal, DP, gangbangs, and orgies. I do fetish stuff and I really have a broad spectrum because I want to cater to whatever my fans want. I really enjoy the fetish stuff and exploring things that are more taboo. Sex is great but kinky sex is even better. I also have my YouTube channel and there people can see me doing non-porn stuff like us before a scene or me just talking about everyday stuff. There’s one of me cooking for everybody. I like my fans to be able to see me in situations other than with my legs up in the air. (Laughs) I also have my Twitter which is https://twitter.com/SheenaRyder1 and my fans can say hi to me there. I think that’s everything.
