New York City is home to quite a few burgers that cost at least $60.00. They contain fancy ingredients like foie gras and truffle. I’m not sure about you guys but when I’m looking for a burger, fancy is the last thing on my mind. I’m looking for quality meat and juicy deliciousness. The best place to find that in New York City is at Jackson Hole, home of the 7 ounce burger. Established in 1972, Jackson Hole has been an institution in New York City for decades and while there are a few locations in Manhattan, two in Queens, and one in Jersey, Jackson Hole is far from a chain and definitely does not possess any of the qualities of one. Jackson Hole uses a special process when preparing their burgers, steam cooking the massive mound of beef underneath a metal bowl. What comes off the grill is the perfect burger. Not only is it huge and full of flavor it has that distinct taste of the freshest ingredients, the kind of taste you get from an impeccably prepared home cooked meal. If you go there with a serious appetite after a night of drinking try one of the appetizers like the Buffalo wings, nachos, or chicken fingers parmigiana. All of those are guaranteed to satisfy but make sure you save room for the burger which comes with a big portion of thick steak fries. Did I mention that their pecan pie is insane? And if you order it warm with a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream on top then you’re in for a serious treat. Throw in the fact that all the Jackson Hole joints are in very cool locations, have a relaxed atmosphere, and excellent customer service it’s likely that this establishment will continue to be a winner in New York City for years to come. Oh, and by the way, one of the big burgers with steak fries will only set you back less than twelve bucks, a far cry from the $60.00 and up burgers at the more “upscale” spots. Find yourself a low maintenance chick and you’ve got yourself a go-to date spot. You can thank me later for the burger and the dating tip. Enjoy.
