Mens Mag Daily: Sara, you are like a mega superstar. How did you get so popular?
Sara Jay: Part of it is my longevity; I’ve been in this industry for 14 years. I also don’t limit myself in the work that I do. The only thing that I don’t do is anal. I do interracial, BBW stuff, fetish stuff so I’m pretty much done everything imaginable.
Mens Mag Daily: Are you saving anal or do you just not do it?

Sara Jay: It was really slow at first but I was gaining a little bit of popularity slowly. And then the internet came alone and in my opinion that put the fans in charge of what they wanted to see. It was much less of these huge corporations kind of determining what it is that the consumer wants to see. It’s like if there’s a scene of mine on the internet the fans have all of these different opportunities through social media and other outlets to comment and give their opinion so we get a really good sense of what it is that they like.
Mens Mag Daily: What are your fans like? I mean, I know they love you.
Sara Jay: You know, they’re all over the place. I’ve got a lot of younger fans who like my MILF stuff. I have older guys, guys who like me in heels, intellectual type guys; it’s really so many different types. Different types, across the board.
Mens Mag Daily: Are they always buying you stuff off your wishlist?
Sara Jay: I do have a lot of really generous fans. I actually got a beautiful dress in the mail today.

I stayed in the public eye and I definitely tried to create a brand by driving all my fans to my website and social media. There are little things, like I’ll make things look similar online, scenes or sites. It’s part of branding.

Sara Jay: I’ve actually directed 5 DVSs and produced them as well. The only thing I really don’t do is webmaster. I can be in front of the camera, behind the camera, I can do lights. I can run the whole set, do editing, all by myself. I don’t think there’s much more I can do. When I get to the point where I want to see myself naked less I’ll probably spend more time behind the camera. In the next ten to 15 years I might not want to see myself naked. (Laughs)
