Brandi Love, the name is fitting, because there’s no way you can have a conversation with this woman and not fall in love. Okay, okay she has a body that looks like God spent a few hours extra on and one of the most gorgeous faces I’ve ever seen but still, she’s a pleasure to speak to. She balances class and sex, not the easiest thing to do. One minute she’s talking about mature relationships and wine and the next she’s talking about fucking and stripper heels. And it all comes off perfectly natural as if she’s talking about how her favorite football team is doing. Yeah, that’s my kind of lady. Brandi’s entrance into the adult industry was interesting. The decision was made not on a casting couch in L.A. but in her living room where her, her husband and their business partners discussed their new adult website. Watching her scenes, you see her glorious, sculpted body move gracefully in 6 inch heels. Her facial expressions would make any man melt. The woman is the epitome of sex, a perfect amalgam of awesome qualities. Mens Mag Daily was able to speak with the lovely Brandi Love about how she got into the business, why there’s a time and a place for everything, and why she was not what I expected.
Mens Mag Daily: For the few who don’t know, can you tell us how you got into the adult industry?
Brandi Love: My husband and I were running a wine label business. That was our first business. It was becoming successful and this was back in 2003. It was time to develop a website but other than looking at adult websites we weren’t familiar with the internet. Through a friend we got some web designers and they happened to be adult webmasters. They asked us if we had ever considered a business in the adult industry. At that time adult sites were booming. We were having fun doing the wine business but we decided it would be more fun to run an adult business. BrandiLove.com was born just a few months later. We were deciding who the first model would be and we had sunk out heart and soul into the business at this point. I just jumped in and said I would do it. I had no experience but I’m a freak by nature. I’m a nudist so I figured, why not? Everybody was surprised. They tried to tell me that it might not be the best idea because everybody was going to see it and their concern made me want to do it more. I saw it as exciting and the rest is history.
Mens Mag Daily: So you had never done anything remotely close to this?
Brandi Love: I had never had a photo taken nude or otherwise. I kind of had a year of sexual liberation. It was four months prior to this opportunity and I was really exploring myself at this time. I was having a lot of fun and I won an amateur night at a strip club after being a housewife for four years. I’ve always been intrigued by that lifestyle and they offered me a job so I did it two night a week.
Mens Mag Daily: What was the experience of dancing like for you?
Brandi Love: I loved it from the moment I stepped on stage. I mean, I did have butterflies in my stomach at first but it was exciting as well. The only thing I didn’t have was the heels, I mean I was born in heels so that wasn’t a problem but I didn’t have the humongous stripper heels so I went and bought some. I didn’t know anything. I think I was wearing a bikini bottom. I figured I would either drop my dress and get scared and run off stage or I would just love it. I dropped my dress and I just had a big old smile on my face and I almost fell about four times. (Laughs) I had a ball though. It was like somebody flipped a switch and there was no turning back.
Mens Mag Daily: So back then, did you know you had made the right decision getting into the adult industry?
Brandi Love: You know, I worked very, very hard in my career in the adult industry and my success has been a very slow and steady. There are people who have no idea how long I’ve been in the industry. Without the agents and without being a contract girl my career has taken quite a unique path. It’s very slow and steady and I wouldn’t change that for anything because there are people who think I just came out of nowhere. And that’s okay because they don’t need to know the climb. Then there are those who realize that I have a career, that I’ve been here for 10 years and that this wasn’t an in and out situation. I think for me it makes me feel like I’ve done something right.
Mens Mag Daily: You mentioned you were comfortable being naked and that you’re a nudist. Were you nervous when you were shooting your first scene?
Brandi Love: I was excited and nervous at the same time but I still am. It doesn’t matter if I’m working with somebody that I’ve worked with a thousand times; I still get that nervous and excited feeling. The very first time you had to add in that unknown factor. I had no idea there was a crew with lights and a boom guy, it was a lot of people. I was used to shooting for my own site which wasn’t a lot of people at all but going to L.A. there were a lot of people around. Anytime something is brand new it’s going be a little nerve-wracking. As soon as the sex starts thought, I really do relax, the world’s greatest sport. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: You seem very outgoing in your scenes. You seem very into it.
Brandi Love: What you see is what you get. I always feel complimented when people tell me I’m a good actress because I’m not at all. There are lines to deliver and characters to play but it’s not like they’re giving me a script that Meryl Streep would be reading. I like to look at it that way because I do adore acting. I feel very fortunate that when it comes to the sex it’s between me and the person I’m working with. I get lost in whatever chemistry we’ve found in one another. I don’t know how to act while having sex. I just choose to get lost in it so it’s the best possible sex for me and my partner. If you’re having sex, you should enjoy it.
Mens Mag Daily: Were you very sexual before you entered the adult industry?
Brandi Love: I don’t’ know about sexual but I was certainly comfortable with my sexuality. As I’ve gotten older I’ve come into my own. Women are like wine. We get better with age. I think you get to a certain comfort level and I know exactly who I am and where I’m going and that didn’t happen until fairly recently. It’s liberating and when you add that with really knowing your body it’s a great combination. I was a late bloomer. I lost my virginity when I was 16, almost 17. I hear much younger nowadays and that blows my mind nowadays.
Mens Mag Daily: You got into the business with your husband, what was his opinion on the whole situation?
Brandi Love: His freak flag flies even higher than mine and we’re great together in that sense. We’ve always liked to have fun and be adventurous but it still takes a lot to put yourself out there and be judged in that way. Most people never have to deal with it because we live in a society that doesn’t exactly understand liberated individuals. They buy it and pay for it but they don’t understand it. They’re going to stand in judgment. For you to put yourself in the firing range people are going to judge but I believe in sexual freedom and freedom of choice. The adult industry is a completely legal industry. I’m going to fight for this freedom if somebody tries to take it away or to judge me. It’s become much bigger; it’s become a situation where the people who want these freedoms are constantly judged and are almost under attack.
Mens Mag Daily: I was watching some of your scenes and you do a lot of MILF stuff. Do you enjoy playing that role?
Brandi Love: Those roles are great. I don’t have a son so I’m not fucking his friend and I’m not a stepmom but again when the sex starts I get lost. It’s me playing a role of being sexy, decisive, the way you would look at a woman of that age so again it’s not really acting. I eat that up. It’s an absolute ball.
Mens Mag Daily: The way you speak, one would never know it was the same woman in the scenes.
Brandi Love: Really? And how so? What is different?
Mens Mag Daily: For lack of a better word on screen you’re insatiable and this sexy, wild woman and speaking to you seem like a regular woman.
Brandi Love: I think it’s basically because at heart I am a regular woman. There’s a time and a place for everything. I love my life. I love everything I’ve done and I think now that I’m more mature I can look at things a certain way and appreciate them and carry myself in a certain way. I can educate on one level which I have done. I’ve given lectures on sex at colleges but at the same time I can go to L.A. and get my fuck on. It’s the perfect balance. There are times when I can be very sexual and there are times to take it down a notch.
Mens Mag Daily: Gratuitous sex question time. What is your absolute favorite sexual position?
Brandi Love: There are so many and this is not a cop out but it depends who I’m with. There are so many details that go into it. If there’s a strong guy who flips me over and does me doggie style then I’m going to say doggie style. But if I had to pick just one I would say missionary and that’s because I love eye contact. It takes the intensity to a whole other level and I love the feel of the weight of a man on top of me.
Mens Mag Daily: Do you enjoy giving oral sex?
Brandi Love: Absolutely, I love it. I just love it. I’m not too old to learn. If I see somebody doing something different then I want to try it. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: I’m actually a little freaked out talking to you right now because you’re so different from what I expected.
Brandi Love: What do you mean? I mean you told me the differences but what did you expect?
Mens Mag Daily: I had just watched a few scenes so I’m thinking hot, crazy sexual, woman and here you are, you’re well spoken, just different.
Brandi Love: I like that you think that because maybe you’ll take away and maybe some of your readers too that a lot of us have other sides. I like to BBQ and have a glass of wine. I work normal hours during the week. The only difference is that I have a lot of opportunities to have great sex. That’s what makes me different. This career has been just awesome for me, better than I ever could have imagined.
