Every once in a while I have the opportunity to interview a girl who is the complete package, the perfect body, a face that would put any supermodel to shame, and a charming personality to boot. It’s rare but it happens and this time it was adult starlet Alison Tyler. In terms of looks, she is amazingly striking, standing at six feet tall with light eyes and a dusky complexion. Alison also happens to be intelligent and at 24 years old has already been in the industry for 5 years, the entire time spent as a superstar. Mens Mag Daily has the opportunity was fortunate enough to sit down with the lovely Alison Tyler to discuss the interesting way she got into the adult industry, her plans for the future in and outside of the adult industry, and how she spends her time when she’s not on set.
Mens Mag Daily: Okay Alison, I did some research on you and before you got into porn you were working at Green Peace. Was doing porn something you ever even considered and how did you end up actually getting into it?
Alison Tyler: (Laughs) I was a canvasser and an activist for GP at the time. A girlfriend of mine was contacted by an adult agent and she ended up joining an agency and shooting, I drove her to and from set sometimes because she didn’t have a car. I was approached on set one day and asked if I was talent, when I said no the director threw it out there that he would be interested in shooting me should I decide to perform one day. I thought about it for a bit and the next week I went and got tested. She left the industry a few months after that and here I am 5 years down the road.
Mens Mag Daily: Did you have any idea what porn was all about when you got into it and was it what you expected?
Alison Tyler: I had no idea and therefore had no expectations, which I think was a good thing looking back at it.
Mens Mag Daily: Was doing your first scene a nerve-wracking experience?
Alison Tyler: Not really, it was a really small production. My second scene however was for Vivid and that one was super nerve wracking. There were a ton of people on set and I had no idea what I was doing. Looking back it was kind of cute how intimidated I was.
Mens Mag Daily: What were your goals before you got into the adult industry? Did you a have a career in mind that you wanted to pursue?
Alison Tyler: I was in school. I had just switched my major from English/journalism to business. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do at that time. I floated around from teacher, to journalist, to news anchor. I think getting into the industry when I did was actually really good for me. I have learned a lot about myself and what I want in the last 5 years inside the bedroom and out.
Mens Mag Daily: You’ve been in the adult industry for 5 years now while many girls are in and out in a month. How have you managed to have longevity and do you plan to continue in the years to come?
Alison Tyler: It’s amazing how many girls I’ve seen pop in and out of this business in the past 5 years. Honestly, I was very fortunate to have a great support system that guided me in things I should or should not do should I want a career in adult. Not many girls get that. I have seen so many get wrapped up in the partying and the money and forget that this is a business and should be treated as such. I love what I do and I love this industry. I have surrounded myself with people who have led me in the right direction business wise.
Mens Mag Daily: Do you plan to do other things in the industry such as directing or do you plan on moving on to an entirely different career?
Alison Tyler: I would love to direct, I have so many ideas that I’m dying to put in front of a camera. I also have plans for outside and after the industry. I’m a very organized person (laughs) so I plan everything. I am going to open a yoga studio. I’m working on my Bikram teacher certification.
Mens Mag Daily: This is one thing I have to know. You’re 6 feet tall, you’re one of the most beautiful woman in the industry, have a perfect body, beautiful eyes, you’re flawless. How intimidated are men by you and what is your type of guy?
Alison Tyler: Thank you so much. I definitely have flaws though. I think most men are intimidated unfortunately, though they will never admit it. It really sucks because I am super down to earth and way too nice. It’s funny because most people don’t believe me when I say I don’t get hit on. I seriously never get hit on, ever. I will get looked at, whistled at maybe but never approached. As far as my type of guy goes, I really don’t have a type. I have dated all over the spectrum. The qualities I like in a man are things like humor, you have to be able to make me laugh, an outgoing personality, someone who’s active or at least likes the outdoors, and a guy who’s handy. If I can fix more things around the house than you can we have a problem. My dad was in the marines and my whole childhood was filled with camping, fishing, sports and learning how to fix things.
Mens Mag Daily: In my research I also found out that you actually lost your virginity to a girl. A lot of the girls I talk to actually have their first experiences with girls after they get into the industry. Can you tell us how that happened?
Alison Tyler: I did, I was really young and we didn’t really grasp what we were doing. We just did it because it felt good. I’ll leave it at that. However it wasn’t until high school that I realized I was actually really attracted to women, and the first time I had actual sex with a woman that I knew I was attracted to was with my best friend who had gotten into porn. We went through a threesome phase when I was 19. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: You weren’t with a lot of men before getting into porn. Was it strange for you going from being with so few guys to being with a lot of very experienced guys and girls?
Alison Tyler: Not at all, I’ve always been promiscuous in my mind but was very reserved when it came to acting on it so getting into the industry was pretty much like letting a kid loose in a candy store.
Mens Mag Daily: Since you were far from being promiscuous before you got into porn, were your friends and family surprised when they found out what you were doing for a living?
Alison Tyler: I’m sure my family was. However talking to a few friends that I’ve had most of my life, none of them were really surprised.
Mens Mag Daily: I know you’re athletic and you have the height, are you any good at basketball?
Alison Tyler: (Laughs) I always get asked that. I never played basketball. I have always been active though. I have been riding horses since I was about 4. I competed in rodeos all the way through college. I played volleyball for 8 years, and I rowed on my college crew team. I still stay active. I recently started competing in fitness competitions, so I’m in the gym 7 days a week.
Mens Mag Daily: What do you do in your free time Alison? Are you the type of girl who likes to kind of get away from the industry when she’s not working?
Alison Tyler: Definitely, I don’t live in LA, so when I’m not working I’m in my little bubble. I do go to industry events when we have them 2-3 times a year. But I’m not a big drinker. I don’t really party. I’m in the gym like 7 days a week. I live a very healthy and active lifestyle. I love the outdoors so camping, hiking, and fishing are really more my scene. I live by the beach and I am always outside soaking up the sun. I love to paint, sculpt and refinish furniture which is weird, I know (laughs). I’m very close with my family so family time is always a must.
Mens Mag Daily: Your girl/girl scenes are incredible. Are there any girls you really like doing scenes with and why?
Alison Tyler: I love working with other girls. My personal preference is girls with curves like myself but I don’t discriminate. I love all women; I think women are so beautiful and sensual.
Mens Mag Daily: You seem to really enjoy yourself but I’m curious, have you had any negative experiences in the adult industry?
Alison Tyler: Actually, no. I have been very fortunate to have had a very positive experience in this industry. I hear girls talk about negative experiences that they have been involved in, and I think it’s all about the vibe you put out. I definitely enjoy myself but I am all business, no nonsense here. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: Is there any type of scene that you prefer to shoot in terms of girl/girl, boy/girl, threesome, etc.?
Alison Tyler: I love boy/girl/girl scenes. I get the best of both worlds, I’m greedy. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: I know this is a horrible question but my readers make me ask it. What is your favorite position and why?
Alison Tyler: I would say cowgirl or missionary. They are both very dominant positions for the person on top. I can be very dominant or very submissive and I love the power struggle when fucking someone. It’s super-hot.
