For six years Brandy Aniston has worked tirelessly to secure that her name would be on the marquee as far as porn is concerned. It seems as if hard work and perseverance has paid off because Brandy is one of the brightest stars in the industry today. She is also gorgeous and exotic but I digress. For Brandy there just isn’t enough time in the day. Besides shooting, she has just been named Penthouse’s Danni girl of the year, won AVN’s highly coveted unsung starlet of the year award, all while hosting her very own show for Vivid on Sirius satellite radio. One might wonder how she gives such great performances every single time she shoots. Well, she’s simply not your average porn star. Mens Mag Daily was lucky enough to be able to speak with the Armenian and Thai beauty and discuss being married as a porn star, why she is not headed for Hollywood, and which celebrities she would bang for free.
Mens Mag Daily: You actually started dancing at the Spearmint Rhino which is a pretty famous place, right?
Brandy Aniston: It is, yeah. It’s a very well-known strip chain and I figured if I was going to take off my clothes I’d do it for the biggest and the best companies. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: Did you do well financially there?
Brandy Aniston: Yes, I did very well but as far as stripping goes we all have to grow past it and porn was kind of the next step.
Mens Mag Daily: I actually got a kick out of this because I like Shy Love a lot; I heard she gave you your porn name.
Brandy Aniston: She did. A lot of people also said we have similar looks which is interesting because we’re not the same nationality or anything but anyway she was my agent. She just looked at me and thought I looked like a Brandy and then Aniston just kind of came along. It definitely wasn’t a long process choosing my name.
Mens Mag Daily: Are you still a student?
Brandy Aniston: I was for a while and I was majoring in finance, I do plan to go back. But there has been so much going on with Penthouse. I’m constantly shooting and I’m actually getting ready to go back out and feature dance so I’m really busy. I don’t have time to commit to school this year so I’m taking a few semesters off.
Mens Mag Daily: How long have you been in the industry now?
Brandy Aniston: I’ve been in the industry for 6 and a half years. Like with anything I have a love/hate relationship with the industry. I’m very blessed to do what I do and I know there are a lot of people who would kill to do what I do. I’m blessed and I thank the industry, it’s been good to me.
Mens Mag Daily: Did you always want to expand into other things like you’re doing now?
Brandy Aniston: I worked really hard for six years so I could build a name for myself and win awards and get to the place where I am now. I have the ability to do other things, more mainstream things. I’ve always had the plan to be on a mainstream path.
Mens Mag Daily: Any plans to take it even further?
Brandy Aniston: Um, yeah maybe. I don’t want to go into Hollywood. I’m going to stick with what I know and stay in this end of the business. It’s really hard to crossover into the mainstream and there’s a lot of judgment which is something I don’t want to deal with at all.
Mens Mag Daily: Is being judged a problem overall?
Brandy Aniston: Definitely, people don’t understand what you go through on a daily basis and they don’t understand that it’s a career. They think it’s just the sex industry and they don’t look at it as our career and our lives.
Mens Mag Daily: Has the economy affected the industry at all?
Brandy Aniston: Absolutely, the industry is so oversaturated right now. We have so many girls and guys who think it’s an easy quick fix to their financial problems. They get in and out in a couple of months and I guess that’s fine but we’re seeing more and more of that since more people are having financial problems. There has definitely been an increase in our talent pool. The girls that have been here for a while know that we’re staples in the industry but it’s harder to keep up the pace in this business. You could see that with the health scares as well. They’re not responsible and they don’t know how to be safe and then they blame the industry. It can be very frustrating.
Mens Mag Daily: What do you attribute your success to in this business?
Brandy Aniston: It was definitely my perseverance. There are girls in this business who pop up on screen once and they become a favorite but unfortunately for me I was not one of those girls. I went through many years of not knowing where I fit. I’ve become very comfortable with myself as Brandy Aniston?
Mens Mag Daily: You won the AVN award for Unsung Starlet of the year, that’s a big deal.
Brandy Aniston: It’s pretty coveted. It’s one of three performer of the year awards so I’m pretty honored.
Mens Mag Daily: Are you still unsung?
Brandy Aniston: No I think I kind of proved myself this year. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: You’re a married woman. What is it like being married and being in the industry?
Brandy Aniston: It’s very difficult. Barry Scott is my husband so we’re both performers and it takes a lot out of the marriage. We have to be very careful. It’s about respecting the other person and that is really difficult when you’re dealing with sex. It’s a constant battle. I don’t watch him with other women; it’s not something I’m necessarily into. We’re both pros and it takes a lot of self-control.
Mens Mag Daily: You’ve actually done some more mainstream stuff though, haven’t you?
Brandy Aniston: I actually did a couple of soft-core movies for HBO and I was in a 30 Seconds to Mars video.
Mens Mag Daily: Is HBO soft-core a lot different from a hardcore porn set?
Brandy Aniston: Yeah like the Skinemax movies are very different. We’re not actually having sex, totally soft-core. The privates are covered. These aren’t necessarily pornstar in these movies so while we’re super comfortable having sex they might not be. They throw pornstars in there to kind of help the others along.
Mens Mag Daily: Time for obligatory sex questions. What is your favorite sexual position?
Brandy Aniston: Doggie. I have my own special position but I don’t know what to call it so I just say doggie. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: Do you prefer performing with men or women?
Brandy Aniston: It’s an equal balance for me. If I’m performing with a girlfriend of mine then it’s really hot and comfortable because there’s chemistry there.
Mens Mag Daily: Do you ever mess around with any of the female pornstars off screen?
Brandy Aniston: Oh yeah. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: Do you have a type in terms of men?
Brandy Aniston: Not pretty boys. I like the bad boys with the tattoos who are edgy. They should have a bad attitude. (Laughs) My husband is a bad boy. In terms of women I like all different types although I’m not necessarily a blonde type of person. I like exotic brunettes and redheads.

Brandy Aniston: I’m gearing up right now. I was just names Danni girl of the year for Penthouse so I’m going to be doing a bunch of signings and appearances. I’ll be doing more movies for them so I’ll be doing that for a year. I also have my Vivid radio show. I’m going around the country to feature dance and I’ll be doing and all Brandy Aniston movie which will be dark and twisted like me.
