Jasmine is quickly becoming an institution in the adult industry having already been nominated for an AVN award. Mens Mag Daily was able to sit down and talk with the lovely Jasmine to discuss her life growing up, how she got into the adult industry, and how what the business is like in the UK.
Mens Mag Daily: Okay Jasmine, I have to tell you you’re very beautiful. You have a very exotic look. What is your background?
Jasmine Jae: It’s a mystery. (Laughs) I do have a mixed ethnicity but I like to have fun with playing the guessing game. No one had guessed correctly yet. What’s your guess?
Mens Mag Daily: What was life like growing up in the UK?
Jasmine Jae: I was born in Birmingham, UK but actually spent the early years of my life in Houston, Texas before moving back to Birmingham. I am happy and lucky to say I had a great time growing up. I have a loving family, sincere friends, a privileged life and education. You can’t ask for much more than that.
Mens Mag Daily: You went to school and actually worked as a marketing manager. What was that time like and why did you decide to leave the corporate world and enter porn and how did you go about getting into the business?
Jasmine Jae: I achieved a first class honors university degree in business and marketing and did indeed have a job in the corporate world as a marketing manager for a few years. However, my heart was never really in it. I hated the rat race and corporate life bored me. You were only ever a cog in a huge corporate machine that didn’t really matter; if you broke you would be replaced just as easily by another, probably cheaper cog. I was always sexually adventurous in my personal life and when I met Keiran Lee in a social situation a couple of years ago and started chatting about the adult industry everything just fell into place. Keiran was the one who arranged my first shoot with him for Brazzers and it all just escalated from there. I can honestly say I have not looked back once since making the transition into porn. Firstly I love the “work” but I also relish being my own boss and in fact my marketing and business education is more relevant and useful to me now than when I sat in an office.
Mens Mag Daily: Would you say you were a very sexual person before you entered the industry?
Jasmine Jae: Absolutely, and I still am. I just love sex, with guys and with girls. Even the days I’m not shooting I’ll still be getting myself off. I think it’s fair to say I’m truly insatiable.
Mens Mag Daily: When you first started in the adult industry were you nervous about it and also was it what you expected it to be?
Jasmine Jae: I actually wasn’t nervous at all, everything came very naturally to me. I didn’t feel shy, embarrassed or awkward being naked and having sex in front of cameras and people, as the saying goes I was like a duck to water. I didn’t really have any expectations about the industry but I did have a very clear idea in my own head of how I wanted to build my career and reputation and I took my time to speak to lots of experienced people, do my research and select my jobs carefully. But actually I see many similarities between the adult industry and the corporate world. There’s politics, rewards, competitors, allies, admin, networking and a pay check, but maybe a few less spreadsheets.
Mens Mag Daily: How is your personal sex life compared to your on screen sex life, is it much different?
Jasmine Jae: Other than the cameras, microphones and numerous people on set it’s not all that much different, not for me anyway. I’ve always loved a good, hard fucking and that’s what I expect in my personal life and is what I normally get to enjoy on set too. It’s an all-around win-win situation.
Mens Mag Daily: Is the adult industry in England much different than the adult industry here in the United States and which do you prefer?
Jasmine Jae: I’ve not worked in the USA yet but hope to soon. From what I’ve heard everything just seems to be on a bigger scale in America. In England, the performers are often asked to provide their own wardrobe, cater for themselves on set and, for the girls, do their own make up. It’s not the case for all companies, but I think budgets tend to be a lot smaller here in the UK. The adult industry in the UK is also still viewed negatively whereas in the USA I perceive it to be more celebrated as suggested by the amount of time and effort invested into the award shows such as the AVN’s. That type of event would never happen in the UK, which is a shame but hopefully one day the Brits can take the stick out of their arses and embrace the porn industry. Everyone watches it but no one wants to admit it.
Mens Mag Daily: Is your accent a big turn on for guys who aren’t from England?
Jasmine Jae: I am complimented on my accent regularly, particularly by my American fans and they like when I talk dirty to them in my accent. But I also love the American accent too and always go a bit giggly and girly when I hear it. I can’t wait to work with some American performers and have them say sex stuff to me whilst they fuck me! I’m actually getting wet at the thought!
Mens Mag Daily: You’ve reached a level of popularity that not every female performer reaches, why do you think that is?
Jasmine Jae: I think it shows in my scenes that I love to fuck and I’m not just doing it for the money. I take pride in my scenes and work hard to please the fans and give them what they want, so I think that all transpires. But I think as well I never view myself as a “pornstar”. I am very down to earth and aware that I am only as good as my last scene and new girls are coming into the market all the time. I’m not in the industry for fame or celebrity, I have just found something I love to do and am told I’m good at it and I am very grateful for the continued opportunities and support. Maybe my big tits help too. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: You were nominated for an AVN award in 2014, how did that accomplishment feel?
Jasmine Jae: It felt amazing to be nominated after just one year in the industry. To receive that level of recognition so quickly left me speechless. I never expected to win the award and to be honest didn’t deserve to against some of the other amazing, more experienced and established girls named in the category but hopefully I will continue to prove myself and one day win something.
Mens Mag Daily: What type of girls and guys are you into? Do you have a specific type?
Jasmine Jae: I like girly girls and manly men. In terms of actual looks and physique, I don’t have a type; I am attracted by that indescribable chemistry that gets your heart racing and pussy dripping.
Mens Mag Daily: Have you had any experiences in the adult industry that you wish you hadn’t?
Jasmine Jae: Luckily I have not because I am level headed and intuitive and always made decisions carefully to avoid finding myself in situations I didn’t want to be in.
