John Wayne epitomizes the strong, silent, rugged, strong willed and minded American man. He is an American icon, a man that every other man should aspire to be like. He was an Academy Award winning actor and one of the biggest box office draws in the world for three decades. The incredible thing is that John Wayne didn’t even need those accolades or his high profile to be an impressive man. It was simply the way he carried himself. He was the type of guy who you’d love to sit at the bar with and have a drink, the type of guy who would never start a fight but would damn sure finish one, the type of guy who stuck to his guns and had a true love for his country. He didn’t take things for granted and if for some reason his career abruptly ended you just know he would have been just as happy working on a farm somewhere or laying brick. John Wayne is a true American and true man’s man. Check out some of his wisdom and take a page out of his book.
