Mens Mag Daily: Hey Maryjean, how’s everything?
Maryjean: Everything is great, I can’t complain.
Mens Mag Daily: So you’re from the Bronx, right?
Maryjean: Yup, I’m from the Bronx, born and raised.
Mens Mag Daily: And you’re Dominican?
Maryjean: Yeah I’m Dominican.
Mens Mag Daily: So how did you find your way into the adult industry?
Maryjean: I actually met my publicist while I was dancing. I was a dancer in the city for a few years in the city. I met her while I was doing that and then that turned into modeling and then I went into porn.
Mens Mag Daily: Do you fly out to Cali to work?
Maryjean: Yeah, Cali and Miami.
Mens Mag Daily: Which one do you like better?
Maryjean: California, but I’m really not a big fan of it. The flight is so long. But I’ve been doing it a lot so I’m getting it used to it now.
Mens Mag Daily: Is doing porn a lot different from dancing?
Maryjean: Of course because you’re having sex on camera but I still felt comfortable with what I was doing. I’m still having fun with it. It doesn’t feel like a job which is great.
Mens Mag Daily: Do you think the dancing prepared you a little bit for the movies?
Maryjean: Honestly, not at all. Nothing can really prepare you for it. I like having sex so having good sex might have prepared me a little.
Mens Mag Daily: Okay, you were a dancer so give us some advice. How can a guy pick up a stripper at a strip club?
Maryjean: Honestly, just be yourself. The strip club is a different environment for the girl working there because she’s using her stage name and she comes across so many guys so just be yourself. Also, you want to be realistic about dating a girl in the industry. I think that’s it pretty much and make sure you give your real name. (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: Do you still live in the Bronx?
Maryjean: Yeah, I still live here.
Mens Mag Daily: Do people that you grew up with know what you do?
Maryjean: Um, like high school friends and stuff? I guess some of them do. I don’t go crazy trying hide it but I don’t run out and tell everybody either. Growing up in New York I had a very normal childhood. Nothing traumatizing happened to me and I’m very close with my family. Even me saying I’m a dancer is crazy so it’s not like I can sit down at the dinner table and tell everybody that I shoot porn. It’s not really a conversation I want to have with close friends or family.
Mens Mag Daily: Do you speak Spanish?
Maryjean: Of course I do.
Mens Mag Daily: Do they ever make you speak Spanish in your scenes?
Maryjean: Yeah, and it’s so annoying. It’s like, “Why am I speaking Spanish right now?” (Laughs)
Mens Mag Daily: Were you very nervous when you first started shooting scenes?
Maryjean: No, I was actually very comfortable and it helped that everybody on set was super cool and down to earth. I said that I was going to do it once and if I didn’t like it I would step down but it’s been really great. It’s just like any job, like any 9 to 5.
Mens Mag Daily: How many scenes have you done?
Maryjean: I’ve done 15 or 16, somewhere around there.
Mens Mag Daily: What do you do if you’re not attracted to the guy you’re working with?
Maryjean: Well I always want to make sure that I’m attracted to the talent. We have to determine that before I even get on set because I wouldn’t want to suck anybody’s dick that I don’t like.
Mens Mag Daily: Have you done any scenes with girls?
Maryjean: Yeah, I’ve done like 2 or 3 so far.
Mens Mag Daily: Are you actually into girls in real life?
Maryjean: Yeah but I’m not bisexual or anything, I just like playing with them. That’s different. Who doesn’t want to play with girls? I don’t want to date a girl and deal with all her BS. Being straight and playing with girls is so much better. There’s no emotional attachment. You just cum and that’s it, you go for a drink. I’ve dated a woman in the past. What was I thinking? Two girls together are just insane.
Mens Mag Daily: So girls are way more dramatic than guys?
Maryjean: Yeah we have way more hormones.
Mens Mag Daily: What type of guys do you like?
Maryjean: I like a guy that can make me laugh. I don’t just go by looks. It’s his personality and how he acts. All the guys I’ve dated, you can’t compare one to the other. They are completely different. I thought I had a type but I don’t. I thought my type was like a rocker guy but it’s not. I grew up listening to Metallica and Slipknot, bands like that so I was attracted to those types of guys. I listen to everything but that was my thing. I still go to rock concerts and stuff.
Mens Mag Daily: How did you even decide to get into dancing?
Maryjean: It was like a dare at first so I did it but then I left and came back. I always had like three jobs and went to school so it was later on that it became like my steady income.
Mens Mag Daily: So you went to school too?
Maryjean: Yeah, I started dancing really young so I saw a lot of the negative things that can happen and I didn’t want to be in the position that some of these girls were in at their age. I went to two different colleges but I dropped out. School just wasn’t my thing. I graduated high school and then after that I just wasn’t into it. I went to the Paul Mitchell academy to study cosmetology and I graduated from there. I cut hair but I love dying hair. You have to mix chemicals; it’s like a little chemistry class. I love that.
Mens Mag Daily: Do people ever recognize you?
Maryjean: No but they recognize my dog because I’ll go up to Shade 45 once in a while and I’ll bring him with me. I’ll post pictures oN Twitter and stuff. The other day I was in the airport and somebody screamed out, “Milo!” I was a little bit upset. I was like, “great, they don’t recognize me but they recognize my dog”. (Laughs) They might recognize me afterwards. It’s so weird.
Mens Mag Daily: Do you have a favorite scene that you’ve done so far?
Maryjean: I don’t have a favorite yet. I honestly loved them all so far. I don’t have a least favorite either. If I ever had a least favorite I would probably quit porn. I’m one of those, I would get all traumatized but it’s been great so far. I enjoy it, I cum and everything.
