Not surprisingly, the iPhone 6 is on the way and unlike the past couple of models it seems as if there will be some serious overhauls. Word on the street is that the iPhone 6 will be released in two different sizes, a 4.7 inch screen coming first, followed by a model with a 5.5 inch screen. The two different screen sizes have caused a bit of confusion in terms of release dates. The model with the 4.7 inch screen was supposed to be released in September but it seems as if might have already experienced a pushback. The larger screens have been the focal point of the iPhone 6. This is an obvious attempt to compete with the Android and Windows phones though I’m not sure how necessary this is as the size of the Android has often been considered a drawback by iPhone users. It is believed that the iPhone 6 will feature a crystal sapphire screen, which is likely a response to all of those shattered screens and the prominence of a 5.5 inch screen. Both models of the phone are believed to be considerably thinner. The iPhone 6 is expected to have a faster and more efficient A8 chip as well as the option for 128GB of storage capacity. Both models will be significantly thinner than the iPhone 5 with the thickness of an iPod Touch, a difference of about 1.5 mm. The edges will remain rounded but the shape might take on an Android like form. It seems as if the entire phone will be of one color, with options such as silver and gold as well as the standard black and white with a trim that lines around the back. As of now, according to the rumors and speculation it seems that if the iPhone 6 is going to be borrowing heavily from the Android. I was under the impression that iPhone users appreciated the iPhone for being different from the Android, finding the Android too bulky and preferring the sleek iPhone with its superior features and capabilities. However, it is possible I am underestimating the popularity of the Android. It shouldn’t be long before we get to see the iPhone 6 unveiled. While all the releases have had an equal amount of fanfare, iPhone users haven’t seen huge differences in the models but it seems as if this time is going to be different. All we can do at this point is wait and see. Either way, the iPhone 6 is sure to be a hit save for any glitches due to the major changes.
