WILL BARACK OBAMA BE IMPEACHED?

Iowa GOP Rep. Steve King is back at it again. While the party leaders just recently tried to extinguish the talks of impeaching Barack Obama, King is now in the process of trying to reconsider impeachment proceedings.  King suggested on “Fox News Sunday” that the impeachment issue could be reconsidered if Obama again uses his executive powers to delay or defer deportation for illegal immigrants beyond those brought illegally to the United States in past years by their parents. Many have suggested that the President will expand his 2012 executive memo on deportation. This expansion will include the surge of illegal Central American youths because Congress on Friday went on a five-week summer recess without passing legislation to help fix the crisis. King also told Fox: “None of us want to do the thing that’s left for us as an alternative. But if the president has decided that he simply is not going to enforce any immigration law or at least not against anybody except the felons, which he has done already. I think Congress has to sit down and have a serious look at the rest of this Constitution and that includes that “I” word we don’t want to say.” However, House Speaker John Boehner said neither he nor his chamber has any intentions of trying to impeach the President. He claimed that such a notion is merely a Democratic fundraising “scam.” He also added, “Talk about impeachment is coming from the president’s own staff and coming from Democrats on Capitol Hill.” At this point, the waters are still murky and no decisions have been made. To think that President Barack Obama would be impeached this far into the game is a little farfetched but stranger things have happened. It is believed that Democrats have raised the impeachment issue for fundraising purposes having reportedly raised over $3 million dollars. It is also believed it give them an issue to run in November. Most of this at this point is speculation and all that can be done is to wait and see.
